Thanks Angelo. The one you’re seeing in your garden is a relative of this Apo Sunbird. We have several kinds of sunbird, but this Apo Sunbird can be found in Mindanao only. Maybe the one from your garden is an Olive-backed Sunbird? Check out this picture here.
Im so glad i found this website. Didn’t know your company existed until now. I hope one day I can afford to go on a tour with you guys. Im so surprised to find out that we have so many beautiful birds. I live here in Florida and I do see birds everyday in my yard but nothing as beautiful as these birds.

Heard 12 bird calls between 6:30 – 7:00 am on March 29 and heard a woodpecker’s drilling sounds for the first time! So thrilled!

I have passion red flowers over my clay roof. I often see this tiny yellow breasted Sun birds in twos taking its nectar. You’ll never miss it ,because they make “sssit” sounds, as if calling the other to take turns.
